Dr. Agyabeng Owusu is a Chartered Accountant and a member of both Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, UK and the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration, University of Cape Coast, Ghana
He also holds Master of Science degree in Business Decision Management, Coventry University, UK and Commonwealth Executive MBA, KNUST – Kumasi, Ghana
He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Applied Accounting and Mechanical Engineering from Oxford Brookes University, UK and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi respectively. He had his Secondary education at Konongo-Odumasi Senior Secondary School.
He is a cross functional professional with experience in teaching, planning and implementation of strategies. He is a lecturer in the Accountancy and Accounting Information Systems Department at the Kumasi Polytechnic with over fifteen (15) years teaching experience at undergraduate level. The courses he taught include Financial Analysis, Cost Accounting, Business Mathematics and Financial Accounting. His areas of research interest include Behavioural Finance, Management Accounting and Auditing.
He possesses strong communication skills and able to work effectively with students, faculty members and administrators at all levels.
Currently, he is the Board Chairman of Asokore Rural Bank in the Ashanti Region.
