I am a Lecturer at the Department of Laboratory Technology at Kumasi Technical University. I am Self-motivated, disciplined, dedicated to duty, a team player, and have leadership qualities, with intellectual and industrial skills.
My research focuses on infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) gene detection and surveillance, microbiome, and application of molecular diagnostic techniques such as Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization Time of Flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometry, Nanopore sequencing, and various Polymerase chain reactions (PCR) to discover and monitor drug-resistance in clinical, and community-associated pathogens.
I am also a supervisor for several undergraduate graduate students and have seven peer-reviewed articles in reputable journals. I have three poster presentations at international and local conferences.
I have extensive industrial experience in Medical Laboratory Diagnosis, having worked in district and regional hospitals as Biomedical Scientist.
