Prof. Collins Ameyaw is an Associate Professor of Project Management and Quantity Surveying at the Department of Building Technology, Kumasi Technical University (KsTU). He is a DAAD scholar and holds a Doctor of Engineering from the Bauhaus University, Weimar, Germany and an MSc Construction Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana.
Collins is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and a Professional Member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors and has over 10 years of experience in Public Procurement Training and Procurement Auditing, and over 15 years of experience in Infrastructure Project Management. He is an author of over 30 peer reviewed Journal Articles and International Conference Papers, 2 Monographs and a reviewer of 5 reputable International Journals including: Taylor and Francis, Emerald Publications, Elsevier, Springer Publications and Global Scholars. He is also an External Examiner to the Department of Construction Technology and Management and the Institute of Distance Learning, KNUST.
Collins’ work-experience spans twenty (20) years; worked with ADD Design Group Limited and Fasota Limited both of which are construction project management firms, and Stivo Company Limited, a Building Construction Company. He has facilitated training programs for Crown Agents, Public Procurement Authority (PPA) and Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). His research currently focuses on Sustainable Procurement and the creation of Social Value through public procurement, Value for Money (VfM) in Public Procurement and Public-Private Partnership.
